My day at the Cove...

I arrived Thursday Morning around 9:00am. The Cove is located in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC.

Once inside, there are numerous buildings for both teaching and lodging.

This was the entrance for Thursday's Pastor Institute. The Billy Graham Training Center is celebrating 20 years of teaching seminars this year. The man you see in many of these photos is my good friend Jeff Cook who was in attendance as well.

Inside the main lobby on the second floor. This place is gorgeous. There's Jeff again.

This is the auditorium. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

This guy was the featured speaker for the day. He is pretty well known, his name is err, ummm, John MacArthur, oh yeah that's it.

Just outside the auditorium awaited mountains and sunshine. It was so refreshing inside and out.

The teaching was phenomenal. The subject: Christ Alone: Recovering the Biblical doctrine of Christ as Head of the Church.

The whole day was really laid back. Dr. MacArthur ate lunch with us and interacted with the attendants the entire day.

The first floor of the building has halls of memories of Billy Graham's ministry. Here is a board from the early years and below is one wall of boards representing countries he has held crusades in.

Me & J-Mac; I told you it was laid back.

Listening to a question during the Q&A after lunch. These times are always sooooo good.

Ah, the bookstore. Wise man say: never pay full price for books, better to purchase online...

Better yet, stay out of the dog house by purchasing gift for extremely jealous wife who couldn't come.

You're right, I was extremely jealous, but I was so happy that you were able to go. Thank you for my gift. It was not necessary, but I love it! Also, when have you ever been in the dog house?

Josh,
It was indeed a great day at The Cove! I enjoyed the teaching of John MacArthur,it was challenging to me.
I also enjoyed the fellowship with you. It was great to be able to talk to you and have you answer many of my questions.

Blessings,
Your Fellow Slave...

Yes brother it was a good day. I have been contemplating being a slave of Christ ever since.
How scandalous the message of the glorious gospel must seem in that we are simply slaves calling on others to embrace this slavery. Jesus is Lord, glory be to His name.

Sola Christus!

However- the speaker I heard there was not John Mac.

Thats all I'm gonna say.
