Faster Than We Thought

In yesterday morning's post, I mentioned my grandfather who had been admitted into hospice care. They brought him in of Friday and last night I received a call from my mother telling me that he had passed away.
Papa Joe, as we called him, was as ready to go as anyone I have ever known. He professed faith in Christ, sensed death's approach, and had peace about the whole matter even telling a nurse the day before his death that he was going to Heaven.
We had hoped to make the trip back home by the end of the week to see him, but now we are hoping to depart by tomorrow morning. Our youngest son remains in the hospital with pneumonia, though he has improved, we have to make sure everything is good with him before we can leave. As always, our trip to Florida will have a full schedule. Please remember our family in your prayers.
