I praise the Lord for a refreshing time in Mobile, Alabama at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church. The church displayed true southern hospitality for its guests last week. The food, help, and everything else was wonderful.
Oh yeah, the speakers weren't half bad either! Dr. Steven Lawson and Dr. John MacArthur proved themselves again to be two of God's most gifted expositor's in the land. I told Dr. Lawson that his treatment of Hebrews 4:12 was the best I had ever heard, and I meant it. I believe they will have all of the conference messages available for download soon at their website. I will be sure to check and post a link in the near future. I certainly was refreshed and reminded of the importance and excitement of expository preaching. Again, I thank the Lord for the time we had in Mobile. Thank you Dr. Lawson. Thank you Dr. MacArthur. Thank you Christ Fellowship.
I also received a copy of Dr. Lawson's new book "The Expository Genius of John Calvin." I have heard great reviews and hope to start it soon. I'm sure a post will come in the near future concerning it.
